1 Who we are
GLOBAL RESEARCH TRENDS (PRIVATE) LIMITED, registered in Pakistan under registration number 0226946, operates https://globalresearchtrends.com. Its registered office is NASTP, 69-Abid Majeed Road (Old Airport Building), Cantt, Lahore, Pakistan. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to that business. We are responsible for the personal information covered by this policy.
You can contact us about privacy at hello@globalresearchtrends.com, with "Privacy request" in the subject line, or write to our registered office. We do not have a separate privacy officer; this mailbox is our privacy contact.
2 Scope
This policy covers visitors to our business website, people making enquiries, and people communicating with us about jobs or internships. It explains the information we collect, why we use it and the choices available to you.
We do not use these websites to accept online payments or send marketing newsletters. The recruitment forms are used for employee recruitment. A separate notice and agreement apply when a client research project collects participant information.
3 Information we collect
Enquiries: your name, email, telephone number, company and any message or project information you choose to provide through the website, email or other correspondence.
Recruitment: depending on the application or screening form, we collect your name, contact details, city and address, age or date of birth, CNIC number, gender, education, qualifications, employment history, skills, assessment answers, availability, salary information, CV, professional profile links, work samples and recruitment correspondence. The particular form identifies which fields it requests. Applications and uploaded CVs are stored on our website hosting system for recruitment administration. Please do not include unrelated sensitive information.
Website operation: our hosting and security systems may record technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, access times, pages requested and errors. This supports delivery and protection of the website.
The website forms collect information directly from you. We may also receive candidate information from a person who refers you, a recruitment platform or a professional profile when relevant to a vacancy. When information comes from another source, we provide the privacy information required by applicable law.
4 Why we use information
We use enquiry information to respond, arrange discussions and consider business requests. We use applicant information to discuss opportunities, assess suitability, arrange interviews, communicate about recruitment and maintain recruitment records. We use technical records to operate the website, address faults and prevent misuse. We use records to meet legal duties and handle complaints or legal claims.
Where UK data protection law applies, our usual bases are legitimate interests in answering requests, managing business relationships and recruiting suitable people; steps requested before entering a contract; and compliance with legal obligations. Processing subject to Pakistan, UAE or another law must also meet that law's requirements. Where we need sensitive information for a specific employment or legal purpose, we explain the purpose and legal condition before collecting it.
You choose whether to contact us or apply. Information marked as required is needed to handle the relevant request. Without necessary information, we may be unable to respond or assess an application.
5 Recruitment communications
We may email you about a vacancy, your application, interview arrangements or the outcome of a recruitment process. These communications do not subscribe you to product or service marketing. Tell us if you no longer wish to be considered for a vacancy.
7 Sharing information
Information is available to people who need it to handle enquiries or recruitment, and to service providers supporting those activities, including website hosting, email and IT support. Applications and uploaded CVs are stored on the website hosting system. We may share necessary information with professional advisers or authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal information or share it for another organisation's advertising. We do not share applicant information with the other company named in this policy unless a specific lawful business purpose has been explained to you.
8 International processing
Email, hosting services, external web-resource providers or authorised personnel may process information outside Pakistan, the UK or your country. We use providers and safeguards appropriate to the processing. Where a transfer is restricted by applicable law, we use a permitted transfer mechanism and additional protections required by that law. Contact us for information about relevant safeguards, subject to appropriate redaction.
9 How long we keep information
We keep enquiry records for up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact, unless a business relationship, legal obligation or claim requires longer. We keep unsuccessful application records and CVs for up to 12 months after the relevant recruitment process closes. We keep successful applicant information in employment records for the period required by employment, tax and legal obligations. We keep technical security records for up to 90 days and backups for up to 90 days, unless a security or legal hold requires longer. We delete or anonymise information when these periods end, subject to justified legal holds.
10 Security
We use technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information and risks and limit access to authorised people who need it. We require appropriate protection from providers processing information on our behalf. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
11 Your rights
Depending on the applicable law, you may be entitled to access and receive a copy of information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, restrict processing or obtain information in a portable form. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation. You can object to direct marketing at any time. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Contact hello@globalresearchtrends.com to make a request or raise a privacy concern. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and will respond within the applicable legal time limits. For matters covered by UK law, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/. For matters covered by Pakistan law, you can contact the relevant Pakistani data-protection or other competent authority when an applicable complaint channel is available.
12 Automated decisions and younger applicants
The website forms do not make recruitment decisions with legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing. Applications are considered as part of the recruitment process. The website is intended for business contacts and prospective applicants, rather than being directed at children. If a recruitment opportunity is open to younger applicants, we provide age-appropriate information and safeguards required by law.
13 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or legal requirements change. The effective date identifies the current version. Where required, we provide additional notice of a material change.
